About Us
Andes Connection was founded by Nancy Martinez, a Peruvian-Canadian entrepreneur inspired by a desire to share the warmth, beauty, and meaning of her home country with Canada.
Nancy’s roots trace back to the south of Peru — a region where alpacas are not simply animals, but an essential part of the landscape, culture, and way of life. For centuries, Andean communities have relied on alpaca fibre to endure extreme climates, valuing it for its exceptional softness, natural warmth, and remarkable durability. These qualities, refined over generations, reflect a deep relationship between nature, craftsmanship, and resilience.

When Nancy moved to Canada, she recognized a natural connection. Canada’s climate, appreciation for quality, and growing commitment to sustainable living mirrored the values embedded in alpaca fibre itself. What had long provided comfort and protection in the Andes felt perfectly at home in the Canadian context.
Andes Connection was created to bridge these two worlds.
To bring the warmth of the Andes into Canadian homes through thoughtfully crafted alpaca scarves, shawls, and blankets — pieces designed to be worn, lived in, and cherished over time.
Rooted in heritage and guided by sustainability, Andes Connection celebrates natural fibres, ethical craftsmanship, and timeless design. Each piece tells a story of origin, connecting skilled artisans in Peru with individuals in Canada who value beauty, purpose, and authenticity.
